According to official news, Chelsea’s Dutch midfielder Van Kinkel joined Eindhoven on loan for the third time and played until the end of the season.
The 27-year-old Van Kinkel moved to Chelsea from Waiters in the summer of 2013 for 9.4 million Euros. Due to injuries, the Dutch midfielder only played 4 times in the Blues' first season, and has since been on loan. To play for Milan and Stoke City, in the 2016 winter window, Van Kinkel returned to the Eredivisie, joined PSV on loan, and then returned to Chelsea due to injury.
In the 2017 winter window, Van Kinkel joined Eindhoven on loan for the second time, and the loan period was extended to 18 months. In the 2017/18 season, Van Kinkel helped the team win the Dutch League trophy as captain. But in the summer of 2018, the Dutch midfielder injured his anterior cruciate ligament again and underwent surgery.
For the past two seasons, Van Kinkel has been staying at the Chelsea club to recover from his injuries and has not played for the team. In June of this year, Chelsea and Van Kinkel renewed their contract for one year. Now, Van Kinkel has joined Eindhoven on loan for the third time and played until the end of the season.
