Following Gamma of Mengtong United and Bolchin of Bangkok United, Buriram head coach Božidar Bandović became the third head coach to resign in the same week.
The 51-year-old Serbian coach Bandovic had served as the team leader of Buriram for three months in 2014 and was unbeaten in 13 games. After coaching BEC Trossa and Sisaket were both fired. In 2016, Huang returned to Buriram as the technical director, and became the head coach again the following year. Bandovic led Buriram to win the 2017 and 2018 Thai Super League championships, and led the team to the AFC knockout rounds in 2018. He is arguably the most successful head coach of Buriram.
Last year, Buriram lost the league title in the last game. This year, it temporarily ranked tenth with 3 wins, 1 draw and 4 losses.
